Sarah (aka Pip) creates unique dolls, miniatures and illustrations. Her charming pocket sized starlets are inspired by a fantastical world of old Hollywood, the glamour of yesteryear and a lifelong fascination with old cloth dolls, vintage mannequins and glamourous comic strip characters from the 1930's and 40's.

As a child Sarah was drawn into the magical world of old films. After sketching and painting her favourite costumes, she'd turn her illustrated storybook of what she'd seen on screen into outfits for her dolls. She'd  also raid her grandma's wardrobe and cupboards for old hats, net curtains, silk slips and house coats, so she too could form her own unique dressing up box inspired by the women in the afternoon matinees.

After a sporadic 10 year career as an actor, Sarah's desire to turn her ever constant sketching and making into a full time niche began in 2011 when she started documenting her creations in a blog titled Curious Pip.

She works from her small home studio in Bristol, UK.

When not sewing and drawing Sarah still likes to watch a lot of old movies, always has several books on the go and likes to drink cocktails and go dancing with her friends.

In a past life Sarah was a Busby Berkeley girl!
